The Clarys hosted Christmas for our Georgia family. As is tradition, the morning started off opening gifts from Santa. Dad then made breakfast and afterwards the Clarys took turns opening the larger gifts. In the afternoon the rest of the family arrives for dinner of roast beast, plenty of desserts and another round of gift opening, followed by games. Such a lovely day.

Auntie A and Uncle Tracy hosted Christmas Eve for the Georgia family. Nonna and Opa are in town which made it even more special.

The Clary family joined the Grangers and Auntie Jessie in an early start to the holidays. Uncle Mark made homemade egg nog and everyone readied for the onslaught that is Christmas in Georgia.

Both Clary girls had Christmas parties in their classrooms today. Mom attended Evie's and assisted with the festivities.

Evangeline had two birthday parties today, one for classmate Yishan and the other for classmate Sophia.

Evie tried out for the U8 advanced soccer team today. Competing against both boys and girls she did an outstanding job and now we wait and see if she made the cut.

Most of the Georgia family celebrated Thanksgiving today at the Granger home. While the kids played the parents watched football and visited. Uncle Mark and Auntie Nicole did a wonder job hosting.

The Clary girls helped dad celebrate his birthday today. After a nice family dinner everyone ate cheesecake and Dad's daughters presented him with several presents. It was a wonderful day.

Rhiannon applied and was selected to participate in WWTV at her school. This is a morning news broadcast that is delivered daily to all middle school classrooms. She will be both on-air talent as well as behind the scenes camera work. She is very excited at this new opportunity at school.

The Georgia Clarys had a great time tonight trick-or-treating in their neighborhood. Rhiannon went dressed as neon skeleton while Evangeline was "Evie" from the Descendents 2 movie.

The Clary girls spent the evening at Auntie A's house celebrating their annual Boo Bash party. The girls got dressed up in their spookiest costumes and spent the night playing games and having fun with relatives and new friends.

Evie started after school basketball practice today. She is very excited to begin a second sport, being that soccer season is about to come to an end.

This afternoon, Dad and Evie participated in Scarecrow Day at school. This is an annual tradition where parents help their lower school child build a life size scarecrow that will be displayed later in the week during Homecoming activities. When all is over, the family gets to bring the scarecrow home to use as a Halloween decoration.

The Clarys and Grangers traveled to a local pumpkin patch today to pick out Halloween pumpkins. While there, the four cousins were able to partake in a petting zoo as well play on jumpy houses.

The Clary family celebrated Mom's birthday today. The family ordered out for dinner, then Dad and daughters sang Happy Birthday, followed by cake and presents.

Evie's 1st grade class took a field trip to the FernBank natural history museum in downtown Atlanta. Children were able to experience a world of adventure filled with dinosaurs, live animals, cultural artifacts and hands-on science explorations.

Today was Donuts for Dad day in Evie's lower school. Dad had coffee and donuts with other fathers, visited his daughter's classroom, was presented with many gifts and participated in Chapel. Dad always looks forward to this annual event and Evie was very excited to be able to show him around her school.

Rhiannon was selected to be part of the crew supporting the middle school play called "Back to Back Forests: Two One-Act Plays". She performed back stage duties and learned a lot about setting up and performing in a drama event. She is looking forward to auditioning for future plays and getting an onstage role.

Today Rhiannon and a number of other middle school girls, referring to themselves as Wolf Trekkers, went on a three-hour hike. This was the first of a number of hikes these girls will do over the coming months.

Nonna is in town to visit family. To celebrate Memorial Day, most of the Georgia family went to a Red Sox vs Braves game at Suntrust Field. It was Rhiannon and Evie's first major league ball game. It was extremely hot and humid but the kids were troopers and made it to the end to see a Red Sox win.

The Clarys celebrated cousin Jackson and Amalia's birthday today at the Granger home. Most of their Georgia family was their as well. Uncle Mark fixed dinner while kids and parents played games and visited.

Rhiannon and her 5th grade classmates went on a two-day overnight retreat to a camp in north Georgia. Kids and teachers participated in many fun events while also learning lessons about life and scripture.

Today was the first day of school for Rhiannon and Evie. Rhiannon entered 5th grade and is now officially a middle schooler while Evie moved up to 1st grade. Both did very well and adjusted quickly to their new surroundings.

Mom, Dad and Rhiannon participated in the Light up the Corners 4K walk/run. Held at night, the threesome enjoyed the time together with several thousand of their closest friends.
(Dad seriously injured his arm and shoulder on July 7 and was unable to keep the site updated for a few months)

Rhiannon (10) and Tessa (16) celebrated their combined May birthdays at the Clary home today. Dad was busy on his Big Green Egg while mom and Auntie Adrienne furnished all the sides for dinner. Lots of fun and conversation took place, as well as good food, drink and dessert. Oh yeah, and presents.

Today was the last day of school for the girls and they ended it with Field Day, where the entire lower school paired off into teams of 10 to 12 and competed in numerous games to see which team would come in first. Evie's team, the Tie-Dye Chameleons, game in 3rd place while Rhiannon's team, the Grey Wolves, were crowned the ultimate Champion.

Evie spent the afternoon meeting her 1st grade teacher for next year and visiting the new classroom she'll be in come August.

Today each of the girls classes held big end of school year parties and both kids couldn't wait for them to take place (for obvious reasons).

Evie rode her bike for the first time today without training wheels. It was a big accomplishment for her, having just turned six years old last month. Won't be long before she is right behind her big sister as they travel the neighborhood searching for adventure. Rhiannon also participated in "Businesses of Tomorrow" at her school, along with all other 4th graders. Rhiannon's business, titled "Pet Protection Program" was centered around the well being of pets, including adoptions, and she presented to any and all who came by her station to learn more.

Rhiannon celebrated her 10th birthday day with mom, dad and little sister. She received plenty of well wishes from relatives and friends throughout the day and enjoyed dinner and birthday cake with her loving family.

Rhiannon had a number of friends over for a sleepover to celebrate her birthday two days early. Girls played games, ate pizza and cake and stayed up way too late for mom and dad. Of course, Rhiannon couldn't have been happier.

Mom was treated to "Muffins for Mom" day at school. Mom enjoyed treats and coffee with her girls while being pampered when she visited each classroom. She also got to participate in a special chapel service and sit with both girls.

Both girls played in a piano recital for classmates, parents and friends. Each of the practices a piece of music and played it in front of the entire crowd. Both did very well.

Each of the girl's classes took fields trips today. Evie visited the Fern Bank Museum in downtown Atlanta where she and her classmates learned about natural history and while Rhiannon and all her 4th grade classmates boarded busses for a trip to Alabama.

Rhiannon auditioned and was selected to sing a solo at the lower school talent show. She sang "Lion and the Lamb" by Leeland and did an outstanding job. She even choreographed her own dance routine as she performed. Mom, Dad and sister were very proud.

Evie's kindergarten class performed the play "The Red Hen" for parents and the entire lower school. Evie was "Dot the Cow" and voiced her lines and lyrics to perfection. She was also cute as a bug dressed in her cow outfit, compete with stage makeup.

The Georgia family came by the Clary household today to wish Evie a happy sixth birthday. Dad grilled dinner for everyone on his Big Green Egg then all retired to the living room for dessert and the opening of presents.

Today the Clary family celebrated Evie's sixth birthday. Mom and Dad took cupcakes to her school so she could share with her classmates. Later that evening we concluded the day with cake, ice cream and presents.

Dad took both the girls to high school robotics competition. It was an opportunity for them to see a team competition that wasn't sports related. Both girls were intrigued and dad is hopeful one of them may decide in the future to get more involved when they get to high school.

Today was Grandparents Day at the girls school. It was an opportunity for girls to show their relatives their school. Unfortunately neither set of grandparents live nearby so one of the lower school teachers acted as a Special Friend for them and visited them in both classrooms. Rhiannon also sang a number of songs for all the grandparents as part of her choristers group.

It was a busy day for the Clary girls today. Rhiannon spent the afternoon with her friend Tessa celebrating her birthday. While she was doing that, Evie enjoyed an Easter egg hunt at at the clubhouse along with 100+ other kids. She also spent time playing with some of the petting zoo animals that were brought in for the occasion.

The Clary family joined the Grangers in Cancun, Mexico for spring break. Both families rented a two bedroom suite and enjoyed spending a week in the sun and fun. Lots of pool time for all. Kids did really well and it was a nice break away from school and work.

Mom and dad attend parent - teacher conferences today. Both girls are doing fantastic in school, which brought them a lot of pleasure. Evie got the official confirmation that she will moving from Kindergarten to 1st grade come next August.

Evie joined a number of friends at a rock climbing party. It was her first time in a harness and she had a great time.

Evangeline and a number of her classmates celebrated their friend Johanna's birthday today at Glow Galaxy. Lots of play time, along with pizza and cake.

For Valentines Day, each girl had a party in their classroom, with Evie celebrating a Teddy Bear tea party in hers.

Today was the Daddy Daughter sweetheart dance at the girls school. This was Rhiannon's last dance and Evie's first. The girls were accompanied by Rhiannon's best friend Tara. Dad took everyone out to dinner first then all enjoyed the music and treats.

Both girls attended birthday parties today. Rhiannon had a sleepover at her friend Alexa's house, along with a number other classmates while Evie joined some of her classmates at her friend Kaiden's karate party.
