Rhiannon, Evie and Cousin Lilia were surprised at Christmas with a trip to Disney World and Universal studios. The kid’s parents were also joined by Auntie Jessie on the trip to Orlando. Harry Potter was the focus of their time, but many other adventures were had during the three days everyone spent in Florida. All agreed that there would be another trip sometime soon.

The Georgia family welcome Gail, Mark, Auntie Sammy, Bryant and Lilia to the Peach state to celebrate Christmas. The Georgia Clarys once again hosted the main event, which as in past years, was a huge success.

Evie and her soccer team celebrated the end of their fall season with a party at a local bowling alley. Coaches, parents and the girls enjoyed and end to a great season.

Evie celebrated one of her classmate’s birthday today with a trip to a Cirque du Soleil performance in downtown Atlanta. Several other classmates joined in the fun, which was followed by dinner at her favorite restaurant, California Pizza Kitchen!

The Clarys celebrated Thanksgiving today at the Misner home. A wonderful array of food, drink and desserts were on hand and everyone enjoyed visiting and watching football.

Rhiannon and a couple of friends celebrated her good friend Tara's birthday today at the movie theater, watchng Frozen 2.

Evie went back to the doctor today to have her appendix removed. It had been roughly three months since it had burst and Thanksgiving break was a good time to have it removed. Doctors removed it around 2pm ET and by 5pm she was on her way home for two weeks of "rest".

Evie's U9 soccer team ended their fall season with a big tournament win. Though it was rainy and windy for several of the game, her team went undefeated and took home the trophy. They have come a log way since the start of the season and it will be fun to see them in a couple of months when the spring season starts.

Rhiannon and friends celebrated friend GiGi Grace's birthday at iFLY, an indoor skydiving facility in Atlanta. Rhiannon really enjoyed the experience.

The lower school put on a Veteran's Day program today. Each grade sang special songs to celebrate our veterans and the sacrifice they made to our country. It was a very emotional event and enjoyed by a packed house of loved ones in attendance.

Rhiannon had her first basketball games today. Their team won one and lost one. Rhiannon certainly learned a lot about the game and what is expected of her on the court the rest of the season.

Today was Halloween and the girls dressed up as characters from Stranger Things and Descendants 3, then canvased the neighborhood for candy with Rhi's friend Claire. It was a chilly evening but the girls didn't seem to mind. Earlier in teh day, mom and dad attended Evie's parent-teacher conference and got a great report card back on their youngest daughter.

Rhiannon and Evie spent the afternoon at the neighborhood's Fall Carnival. Lots of music, games and jumpy houses, coupled with beautiful weather kept the girls entertained for several hours.

Mom and dad attended Rhiannon's sixth grade part-teach conference today. They had a good discussion with the grade chair and were enthused about Rhiannon's progress.

Today the sixth grade at Rhiannon's school participated in Junior Achievement. This is a program that helps foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills adolescents and uses experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential.

Rhiannon found out today she will playing on the sixth grade basketball team this winter. She is excited about the opportunity and somewhat nervous learning a new sport but mom and dad were very proud of her for stepping outside her comfort zone and trying how. Way to go, Rhiannon.

Dad spent a long weekend in Philadelphia playing golf with some friends so the three girls enjoyed lots of mother-daughter time in his absence.

Mom celebrated her birthday today and her family made her dinner, baked a cake and gave her presents to celebrate. What a special mom she is.

Rhiannon participated in the middle school fall play “Wagon Wheels A-Rollin’.” This was a story about about life in the wild western town of Vinegar Bottle and the cast consisted of a wide variety of characters, including cowboys, saloon girls and bandits. Rhiannon played the part of school girl Sally. The cast had six shows and all were sold out. Mom and dad were very proud of their oldest.

Rhiannon's sixth grade class went on a two-day retreat to a camp in north Georgia. Kids slept in cabins, played on the lake and found some time for school work as well. An event she looks forward to each year.

Today was the first day of school for the Clary girls. Rhiannon entered sixth grade and Evie started second grade. Girls are growing up way too fast.

Evie had not been feeling well for several days so we took her into the Emergency room and after a day of tests it turned out her appendix had burst. Doctors made the decision to not remove it immediately but instead admit her and treat it will intravenous antibiotics. She spent a week in the hospital with mom & dad rarely leaving her side and today she got the OK to go home. A stressful and tiring seven days but the prognosis is good for a complete recovery. Mom and dad will schedule time in 8-10 weeks for doctors to go back in laparoscopically and remove the appendix.

Rhiannon and mom spent a long weekend in Boston with the rest of the GA family to attend cousin Julie's wedding. Dad and Evie stayed behind so as not to miss out on the start of U9 soccer practices. The two of them didn't miss out on the fun, however, as they attended a Journey tribute band concert in the Town Center park. Dad listened to the music while Evie played with friends she met while there.

The Georgia families came to the Clary abode to celebrate Independence Day. The entire crew spent the afternoon at the pool then migrated to the house to enjoy burgers and dogs, games and eventually fireworks put on by dad and Uncle Mark. A annual tradition everyone looks forward to.

The Clary and Granger adults went to a Queen tribute band concert tonight and all four cousins hung out with a babysitter while their parents enjoyed the night off. A good time was had by all.

Rhiannon visited the dentist today to have four of her "baby" teeth pulled in order to make room for several adult teeth trying to push their way in. In about six months she'll visit the orthodontist to determine if/when braces will be necessary.

Evie's U9 soccer team met today for the first time as a team. There are 11 girls on the team, two of which have played with Evie on other recreational teams. Nice to have old friends but chance to make new ones.

Evie tried out for a select traveling soccer team today and was picked to participate! She will be playing in the U9 league for the next year and Mom and Dad are looking forward to watching her skills grow and seeing her play games around the Atlanta area.

Cousin Nia graduated from high school today and family was in town to help celebrate. Cousin Lilia and Auntie Sammy, Nonna and Opa and Aunt Cindy and Uncle Rich all spent a long weekend celebrating her achievement. It was also a lot of fun catching up with everyone, including the combined birthday celebration of Tessa and Rhiannon.

Mom and Dad were both out of town for work the past week so Nonna flew in from Maryland and watched the kids. She did a fantastic job, getting the children to and from many different events, including a piano recital by Evie.

Today was middle school recognition day. Rhiannon was recognized in front of her fellow students and parents for participating in WWTV, Student Ambassadors, Crafters and Omicron.

This weekend was the Artist Market at the girls school. Rhiannon and three of her friends (Tara, Alexa and Kaitlin) created a company called Moon Kiss and made Deco Rocks. They were very popular and the girls sold very many over the three day event. Later that evening the Clarys and Grangers met at the city's new town center to celebrate it's dedication and enjoy in the events of the evening.

Evie's 1st grade class held a State parade today at school. Evie's state was Oregon (cuz Lilia and Auntie Sammy live there) and she learned all about it then presented her findings to her classmates. As part of the parade, all students wore storyboards representing their state.

Our GA family celebrated Evie's birthday with a camping party at the Clary house. Outdoor attire and food were a part of the festivities, along with plenty of food and drink.

Rhiannon and her middle school chorus traveled to a competition where they sang against a number of other teams from across the metro area. After the competition the team spent the day at Six Flags amusement park and, at the end of the day when awards were given out, foudn out they had won first place!

Today Evie celebrated her 7th birthday! The Clary's celebrated at home with cake and ice cream and, of course, presents. During the day, Evie and her 1st grade class to a field trip to the Elachee Nature Science Center where they help promote environmental understanding through education and conservation. She really had a lot of fun, especially riding in a boat across a lake.

The Clary's and Grangers returned from Spring Break today. The two families traveled to Puerto Vallarta together and stayed at a resort on the ocean. All spent the week lounging by the pool, relaxing and enjoying each others company. The children had a magnificent time and the parents enjoyed the break from work and chance to unwind.

Rhiannon's middle school chorus group participated in a competition today and received superior marks in all categories. While mom and dad were unable to attend, they received feedback from the music teacher that the children did an excellent job and represented their school well.

Mom and Dad attended lower school parent - teacher conference today. Evie received glowing remarks from her teachers, especially around her advancement in reading. She continues to do very well in school and is a role model to her classmates and a leader in her classroom.

On her own decision, Evie donated 14 inches of her hair today to Locks For Love. She saw a video online showing kids with cancer losing their hair and getting wigs during their chemo sessions. Wanting to do something for them, she thought donating some of her would be a good way to give back to those less fortunate than hair. Evie has always had a big heart and it certainly showed here.

Today Evie participated in the Three Piggy Opera, an event put on by 1st graders in the lower school. Evie was one of several trees and sang numerous songs during the production. Later in the afternoon mom helped chaperone a party to celebrate the play.

The family attend the Addam's Family play at the girls school tonight. It was fun sitting in the audience and being entertained by high school students. A very fine production.

Evie and dad attended their first Daddy / Daughter Sweetheart dance without sister. Evie put on a beautiful dress and dad wore a suit. They went to dinner at a fancy restaurant then made there way over to the school where they danced the night away with all the other lower school girls and their dads. What a great time they had at this annual event.

Today was the Super Bowl and the Granger's came over to the Clary house to watch the Patriots win their sixth title. Dad made chicken wings on the Big Green Egg and the kids entertained themselves with games.

Rhiannon's had a sleepover at her friend Alexa's house today. While she was doing that, Evie, mom and dad played Bingo at a gathering at the neighborhood clubhouse. No big winners but a good time was had by all.

Dad was the Mystery Reader in Evie's classroom today. He read several books to the class that he picked out from the city library and enjoyed the interaction with the children.

Rhiannon made the honor roll for first semester with all As and a single B+. Parents are very proud of her efforts. She also participated in the Spelling Bee today where she made it into the fifth round. Great job, Rhiannon.

Rhiannon's school held an open house today for prospective new students and she represented her school as a student ambassador. She met prospects and their parents and toured them around the lower school, answering any questions they may have had about enrollment and activities.

The Georgia family celebrated the New Year at Auntie Jessie's home today. As is tradition, Chinese food was on the menu, along with games and football on TV.
